Shawnee Crossing at Fort Amanda Road
For this project, Kohli & Kaliher provided the following: topographic surveys; hydraulic studies; submittal of an application to the Lima-Allen County Regional Planning Commission to secure a floodplain development permit; submittal of a Letter of Map Revision – Fill (LOMR-F) application to FEMA; and completed civil detention work (drainage, grading, utilities) to prepare the site construction drawings for the 2.5 acre panel.
In addition to submitting the LOMR-F to FEMA, a zoning variance was obtained from Shawnee Township to permit fill in the 100-year floodplain. To obtain the variance, a hydraulic study was completed to show that the proposed fill in the floodplain did not adversely affect any area properties. The LOMR-F delineated the area to be removed from the 100-year floodplain.
